JEGYVÁSÁRLÁS
Az egyiptomi és magyar konyha által ihletett előadásunk a közös étkezés és az étel megosztásának szokásait kutatja. A magyar és egyiptomi táncosok részvételi produkciója egy mozgásművészeti előadás és egy rendhagyó vacsora kombinációja.
Előadásunkban közös vacsorára invitáljuk a nézőket – rendhagyó módon. Performatív non-verbális vacsoránk a közös étkezés közösségépítő vagy éppen kirekesztő természetét vizsgája. Az étel megosztására való nyitottságunk nem csak személyes szokásainkat és a társadalmi intimitással való viszonyunkat tükrözi, hanem kulturális hátterünket és politikai környezetünket is.
Az előadás bemutatójára Kairóban,a Townhouse Gallery-ben került sor 2019 májusában.

The participatory performance by Hungarian and Egyptian dancers is about the complex relation of food, eating, community, exclusivity and inclusivity. It explores in an immersive way how the act of eating, sharing the food can create community, how it can be inclusive or exclusive depending on who we are sharing our food or not willing to share our food. The artists aim to approach global issues through personal stories – and also the other way round…
The creative process has been based on interviews made with the people of very different age, profession, education and wealth situation. The interviews served as a canvas of a personal and subjective oral (hi)stories about eating, but also about community and belonging.
The performance is an immersive and multisensorial piece where audience is invited to sit around a big table, to share a simple food and to use their taste, smell and touch. The piece was originally premiered in May 2019 in Cairo at Townhouse Gallery.
