PLACCC launched the Artist as Curator initiative in 2023, with the aim of making the program selection more horizontal by presenting each year at least one project proposed by artist(s) who regularly collaborate with PLACCC.
In the first year, Ziggurat Project invited the performance On schedule by Superfusion collective, in 2024, on the recommendation by Napsugár Trömböczky, member of both SVUNG Research Group and Femini duo, we invited the Scenescape Drama Group, consisting of participants mainly from refugee backgrounds, to participate, and this year, Dávid Somló suggested inviting the KALAND (ADVENTURE) formation.
KALAND at PLACCC – open creative workshop
In September, we invite you to a special joint adventure as part of PLACCC. The three-part event is a process in which we start from nature and create an urban performance together.

A facilitated workshop and adventure expedition where individual and group curiosity, play, and discovery guide us.

1:00 PM – 4:00 PM Adventure Creation Workshop
Inspired by the previous day’s experiences, we will create a unique “adventure dance” together: we will shape the imprint of our forest adventure with sounds, movements, and choreography.

5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Adventure Dance in Budapest – premiere performance
We will present the extraordinary performance that is the result of our joint work, in which the experiences brought back from the forest appear in Budapest.

Who is it for?
We welcome anyone who is interested – whether you have already been on an adventure with us or are joining us for the first time. No prior training is necessary, but commitment is important: the three events are part of a process, so it is worth thinking of them as a whole. There is no age limit, everyone is welcome.
